Hey, I’m Lauren
I’m a Photographer, cat mamma, and (super proud) dirtbag. I'm part wild child, part introvert and There's nothing I love more than roughing it in the back country, light-chasing and star-gazing, and then coming back home to spend some quiet time with my cat babies and a giant mug of tea.
Based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, I'm a laid back kind of girl with a huge passion for what I do. My heart is always at its fullest when I'm romping around with cool people and creating something special together.
Aside from my work in Photography, I’ve worked as a Wilderness Guide, as well as completed a Thru-Hike of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2019! Conservation of wild spaces are very important to me, and I’m a huge nerd about science and the history of places. If I accidentally nerd out about some random tree, I’m sorry in advance about that!
What I do
I could probably talk endlessly about how the Pacific Crest Trail changed me, but I’ll just stick with what affected me the most. My relationships with people. Yup. Walking all day every day for 5months made me realize how much I relied on the people I love, as well as the kindness of complete strangers to get me through. Sure, it was up to me to do the walking everyday, but what got me through all of that was the people I had surrounded myself with. The bonds we form with others are like no other, and a love shared with someone can make the rough times so much easier. That connection is what I want to capture as a photographer.
I’m no wizard behind the camera, the work I do is simply a collaboration between you and I. Kind of cool, huh? Forming connections with you (because let’s be honest, calling people “clients” is super weird to me and I’d much rather just call everyone my new friends) is such an important part of my work so that I can capture you as yourself, and not just the posed version of you. Whether that means hiking to an epic location for sunrise, or making coffee in your underwear and cuddling up with your dogs I’m here for it all. If you dig that and want to know more, then don’t be a stranger! Let’s create something amazing together.
